In short#
The numbers list comes from Meta after Refresh from Meta in Settings → Messaging → WhatsApp → General. If your workspace is not linked yet, start with Connect WhatsApp.
In this place, I help you pick the primary outbound number, check messaging readiness, and run a first inbound test.
Set the primary outbound number#
Open Settings → Messaging → WhatsApp → Phone numbers.
On the chosen number, select Set as primary. You will then see Primary for outbound.
All outbound WhatsApp messages leave from that number, including templates, agent replies, and post call follow up.
Read messaging readiness#
Check Messaging readiness on each number.
Ready state text: “This number is registered with WhatsApp Cloud API and ready to send messages.”
If a number is still pending, run Refresh from Meta again in Settings → Messaging → WhatsApp → General and wait for completion.
Cloud API two-step PIN#
Cloud API two-step PIN protects number registration. Treat it as a password.
Use Reveal to show it and Hide to close it.
I store this PIN after registration so you can find it again later.
Display name and verified name#
Display name follows Meta review and is read only in EVA.
You can use Verified name as the reference value shown in the list.
Run a first inbound test#
From a personal phone, send a WhatsApp message to the business number.
Confirm the message appears in EVA inbox.
Reply from EVA.
No template is needed for this test because the customer wrote first. If nothing arrives, refresh from Meta and recheck registration.
This test does not prove template sending outside the service window. See WhatsApp customer service window and WhatsApp message templates.
Which number to register originally#
For the number to register first, read Your WhatsApp number is not the app on your phone. I recommend the EVA number already in Settings → Phone → Lines, if it is still free. If you cannot read the SMS, an Eva representative can receive it with you.
