I work in the languages chosen in Settings → Agency (or Practice, Organisation depending on your product) → General, field Supported languages: 1 to 3 languages, one of them primary. Only an Owner or an Admin can change them.
Steps#
- Open Settings → Agency (or Practice, Organisation depending on your product) → General.
- In General settings, under Supported languages, click + (Add a language) to add a language, up to three. To remove one, click Remove on its chip (for example Remove French (France)).
- To change the primary language, click another language in the selection. The Primary badge moves to it.
- Click the save button, which is named after the section: Save agency (or Save practice, Save organisation). It stays greyed out until a field changes.
Result: the chosen languages are used wherever EVA needs a language (see below).
What these languages change#
- Phone: call transcription uses these languages.
- Website chat (web widget): the bubble texts exist per language. A field left empty falls back to the primary language.
- WhatsApp templates: your languages appear at the top of the template language list, in alphabetical order. A new template opens in English (en).
- Contacts: a contact's preferred language is chosen from these languages.
Available languages#
The catalogue offers 15 languages, and you can activate up to three. In the app, each variant is shown with its country, for example French (Belgium).
Language | Variants |
|---|---|
French | 🇧🇪 Belgium · 🇫🇷 France |
Dutch | 🇧🇪 Belgium · 🇳🇱 Netherlands |
English | 🇧🇪 Belgium · 🇬🇧 United Kingdom · 🇺🇸 United States |
German | 🇧🇪 Belgium · 🇩🇪 Germany |
Spanish | 🇪🇸 Spain |
Italian | 🇮🇹 Italy |
Portuguese | 🇵🇹 Portugal |
Greek | 🇬🇷 Greece |
Romanian | 🇷🇴 Romania |
Arabic | 🇲🇦 Morocco |
A language already saved that is not on this list is still offered.
Good to know#
- The primary language is always part of the selection.
- You can't remove a language while a contact has it as their preferred language. First change the Language field on their records.
- If you change the primary language and the web widget texts only exist in the old one, the screen warns you: check them after saving.
- When I refuse a repeated call, the announcement follows your primary language: French if it is French, Dutch if it is Dutch, English for any other language. See Stop the same person from calling over and over.
